 FALL 2026 QUARTER

Sunday School for ages 2 through adults at 9:30 a.m. before the Worship Service.  Please join us!

CHILDREN

The Sunday School curriculum for our 2nd-5th grade classes is “Investigating God’s Word” from One Story Ministries. It is a 7-year, comprehensive, Christ-centered curriculum covering Genesis to Revelation in a systematic way. God’s Word is presented chronologically, demonstrating how all the stories and teaching of Scripture connect to one another historically.

2 - 3 Year Olds (Nursery Class):

Children in the nursery during the Sunday School hour will have a short Bible lesson and some play time. Each lesson includes a Bible verse or passage that emphasizes Bible truths through the reading of God's word, fun activities, catechism questions, and a coloring sheet.

4 Years-1st Grade:

This quarter will focus on the theme “God Created All Things” with the curriculum “Show Me Jesus.”  The children will learn about God’s creation, the Fall, the promised Savior, and the new heavens and the new earth. From start to finish, the children learn that the Lord our Creator is gracious and merciful to his covenant people - forgiving them, saving them, and keeping them.

2nd - 3rd Grade:

This quarter will cover the book of Joshua. In Joshua, we are struck right away with the clear message that God is in control of the salvation of His people. Even Joshua's name relates the fact that it is God who saves. Children will be reminded of who God is and what His plan is for His people.

4th - 5th Grade:

Acts 15-28

This quarter covers 1 Kings 1-11 and II Chronicles 1-9, and continues the story of David's reign over Israel. King David is now old, cold, and in a near vegetative state. He is ill-equipped to rule over Israel, leaving the door open for his son, Adonijah, to stage a coup and grab the throne. The people of God are at great risk - or are they? Students will be reminded that the sovereign Lord is truly on the throne!

YOUTH

Middle School (Grades 6-8)

This quarter, the Middle School will continue their study of Biblical Worldview Basics. It is a year-long study of Biblical theology, including what the Bible teaches about God, human beings, salvation, Jesus Christ, the Christian life, and the Church.

High School (Grades 9-12)

After the resurrection, when Jesus used Scripture to explain who He was and why He came, where did He start? He started in the Old Testament (Luke 24:27). This is where our High School Sunday School series through Nancy Guthrie's The Promised One begins to look for Christ, finding him in the people, promises, and patterns of Genesis.

ADULT CLASSES

Class 1

CtR Foundations

Led by the Senior Pastor and a Rotation of Pastors and Elders

The CtR Foundations class gives an overview of who Christ the Redeemer is as a church and why we do what we do―our DNA. We will dive deep into a wide range of topics, including our worship liturgy, the variety of ministries offered, key distinctives of our denomination, and the theological truths that undergird it all. You are highly encouraged to attend if you are new to Christ the Redeemer, new to the Reformed faith, or interested in exploring membership now or in the future. If you’ve been at CtR awhile but simply would like a refresher or want to help engage in discussion, please join us.

Class 2

Ecclesiastes: Enjoyment East of Eden

The book of Ecclesiastes powerfully conveys the meaninglessness of life without God. The world promises fulfillment, but in the end, it cannot truly satisfy the longings of the human heart. In this accessible study, the author helps Christians understand the necessity of fearing God in a fallen and frustrating world, pointing us to God’s ultimate mission to restore creation from the curse through the power of the gospel.

Class 3

What is Reformed Theology?

There are a lot of misconceptions in popular culture and the church regarding Reformed theology. Some references to it are positive, some negative. As we walk through R.C. Sproul’s book What Is Reformed Theology?, we will take a look at the foundations of the Reformed doctrine. We will look at how the Reformed belief is centered on God, based on God’s Word, and committed to faith in Jesus Christ.
